Sizing & Fit — Buyer's Responsibility +
You are responsible for accurately measuring your gate opening before placing an order. GateBound does not accept returns or exchanges because a gate does not fit your opening. All standard dimensions are listed on the product page. If you are unsure of your sizing, call us at (254) 732-2373 or email gates@ltfencing.net before ordering — we are happy to help you select the right size.
Installation & Safety +
GateBound gates may be installed by a qualified homeowner. However, proper safety practices must always be followed, including but not limited to:
- Fall protection when working at height during installation
- Adequate post embedment depth and concrete footing appropriate to your local soil conditions and gate weight
- Awareness of pinch points and crush zones on swing and sliding gates — never operate a gate near unsupervised children
- Compliance with all applicable local building codes, HOA requirements, and permit obligations
- Operator weight ratings — confirm your chosen gate operator is rated for your gate's weight and opening width
Professional installation is strongly recommended for heavy gates, automated systems, or any application requiring structural post work. GateBound is not responsible for damage, injury, or property loss resulting from improper installation or failure to follow safety guidelines.
Warranty +
GateBound gates are warranted against manufacturing defects in welds and structural fabrication for one (1) year from the date of shipment. If a covered defect is identified within the warranty period, contact us and we will work with you on a resolution — repair, replacement panel, or credit at our discretion.
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal weathering, surface oxidation, or powder coat wear over time
- Damage resulting from improper installation, misuse, modification, or neglect
- Freight transit damage (see Freight & Shipping Damage below)
- Gates that have been welded to, drilled into, or structurally altered after delivery
- Sizing or fit issues — buyer is responsible for measurements
Warranty claims must be submitted within 30 days of discovery with photos and order details to gates@ltfencing.net.
Returns & Cancellations +
Every GateBound gate is built to order. Fabrication begins after payment clears. Because of this — and because LTL freight costs are substantial in both directions — we are unable to accept returns for the following reasons:
- Gates ordered in incorrect sizes
- Gates that do not fit the buyer's opening due to measurement error
- Change-of-mind cancellations after fabrication has begun
If your gate arrives with a confirmed manufacturing defect covered under warranty, we will make it right. Contact us within 30 days of receipt. Return freight logistics for warranty claims are handled on a case-by-case basis and may require a freight quote before authorization.
Questions before you order? Call (254) 732-2373 or email gates@ltfencing.net — we would rather get it right the first time.
Freight & Shipping Damage +
All GateBound gates ship via LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight. You must inspect your delivery before signing the freight bill. If you observe visible damage to the pallet, packaging, or gate, note it specifically on the delivery receipt (bill of lading) before the driver leaves. Do not refuse delivery for minor cosmetic issues — contact us first.
Freight damage claims must be reported to GateBound within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage and a copy of the noted bill of lading. Failure to note damage at time of delivery may prevent a successful freight claim with the carrier.
Freight insurance is available for an additional fee and is strongly recommended for high-value orders. Ask us for details before your order ships: (254) 732-2373 or gates@ltfencing.net.
